QUOSA DocFlow
QUOSA DocFlow (Integrated Document Delivery) gives users seamless and immediate access to their desired journal articles from their subscriptions, free journals and via document delivery and makes ordering articles via document delivery quick and painless.
QUOSA DocFlow works in conjunction with the QUOSA Virtual Library to provide the following functionality with the main goal of eliminating unnecessary document delivery orders:
- Allows users searching for journal articles outside of QUOSA (e.g. using a Web browser to search in OvidSP, PubMed, Embase, Scopus-wherever your link resolver is integrated) to see a “get document” link associated with hits in the results set. When users click this link, DocFlow will check the user’s organizational subscriptions, free journals and available, sharable articles directly to the user via an article-level link.
- If the desired article is not available, QUOSA will complete the document delivery order form with the corresponding citation information so that the article may be ordered. DocFlow is integrated with Information Express Online and Reprints Desk to submit orders automatically. When these orders are filled, DocFlow will retrieve the articles from the document delivery vendor and send them to the user who placed the order.
- QUOSA Information Manager users may also order documents from Information Express Online and Reprints Desk from within QUOSA. Also, QUOSA DocFlow Integrated Document Delivery manages the document delivery process directly within the article search workflow.
