Cannot download full text from sfx / linkout / or Ovid Full text link

In general, you need to have subscriptions to the journals you want to retrieve from (either personal or institutional subscriptions). If you do not, and if the full articles are not available for free, QUOSA will retrieve only the abstract, but not the full article (even if a journal is linked via PubMed).

• There may be other reasons as well for not being able to retrieve full articles:
• A particular PDF may cause a problem (try to open it as an html version first)
• An anti-virus program, firewall, or pop-up blocker can cause problems in retrieving PDF articles.
• Older articles may not be available electronically or may only have abstracts
• Sometimes journals change publishers and over time the mechanics for full-article retrieval may change
(when we discover this, we modify our retrieval mechanism to work with the new publisher). Similarly, some publishers change the format of their links or their intermediate pages, which prevents QUOSA from retrieving the full article (once again, in these situations we attempt to 'fix' our retrieval mechanism).

If you continue to have problems retrieving full articles, please contact support@quosa.com .
