Advanced Full-Text Searching, Clustering
The power of QUOSA´s full-article retrieval and indexing capabilities makes possible literature search tasks that would not otherwise be practicable.Click here for the Advanced Feature Guide.
Examples of Case Studies include finding kinetic parameters for proteins and the affinity state of a target receptor: cases where key information is not available in the keywords or abstracts. Finding this information via a literature search means making an initial broad selection of articles--possibly running into the hundreds or more and then searching those on the full-text. This is a proven technique, yielding many more validated hits than abstract-based search gateways alone.
QUOSA´s Import Batch Query tool automates the search process for primary searches on PubMed or Ovid followed by a number of secondary searches on the full-articles retrieved. Just set up the sequence of primary and secondary searches you want. QUOSA will then retrieve the full articles for the primary search and automatically perform the secondary searches on the full-text.
Concepts4Clustering™ provides a cluster analysis of a set of articles with automated extraction of terms and concepts from the full-text: a useful analyzer of key terms within an article set or as a generator of alternative or associated search terms for an expanded search or for use with another set of articles.
Terms4Clustering provides a cluster analysis of a set of articles based on either a flat or an hierarchic list of search terms provided by you.
Genes + Aliases Search automate generation of a list of gene names and aliases to be used for Terms4Clustering based on a search on Entrez Gene (can be configured for database(s) of your choice).
